Tourism Department in its Office Memorandum issued on 20th July 2022 said that there should be no preferential treatment in Tourist Lodges for Government Officials as Tourist Lodges are primarily meant for tourists and travelers and should not to be treated at par with Government facilities such as Circuit Houses, Mizoram Houses, State Guest House, Injspection Bungalows etc where protocol is strictly maintained. The Order further stated that Tourism Department treats everyone as equal on ‘first come first serve’ basis through online booking at www.mizoramtourism.com, which is mandatory for all including Government Officials.
