The Internation Day of Yoga 2022 was observed today by Tourism Department at R Dengthuama Hall with a theme 'Yoga for humanity. The function was chaired by Pu V Lalengmawia, Joint Secretary, Tourism. Pi Manisha Saxena, Principal Secretary, Tourism was the Chief Guest. Speaking in the function, the Chief Guest urged the participants to practice yoga as a form of physical exercise for physical and mental well-being. Pu Saurabh Endley, Joint Secretary, Ministry of DoNER also attended the function as Guest of Honour and Pu Devesh Chandra Srivastava, Director General of Police, Mizoram also spoke at the function. Directorate of Ayush, Government of Mizoram demonstrated yoga to the participants.
